How do people find time to read? Or to do anything, really? And by people, I mostly mean mothers of toddlers. My want to read list grows by 1-2 books per week, and diminishes by a paragraph a week if I'm lucky.
I was doing good during Lent when I fasted from all my email groups. Both on the reading front, and on the daily prayer habits front. But this was also pre-blog. (Or maybe that was when I picked up the blog?) Now I have too many people to keep up-to-date on, and too many Catholic and homeschooling blogs to get ideas from. If only I could keep from getting the idea that I am so far behind, unorganized, and secular compared to all of them... (But, alas, that is the one theme that crops up every day of my life!)
While I'm ranting, how can I even complain about having no time, after 9+ years of having all the time in the world and nearly killing myself with depression over having no babies?

Well, I find my time by cutting out sleeping! I don't recommend it!
Actually, when I was pg I read a ton of books, but I have drastically cut that in the last two years. I still check one out from the library every month or two, but I may or may not actually start it, and sometimes read half. And of course my youngest (younger) is 2.5!
To me, there is this huge danger in doing the comparison/beat up thing. That is a danger sign for me that I'm reading stuff (blogs and that) for wrong reasons.
On the other hand, I am so grateful for the internet, because otherwise I would feel soooooooooooooooo isolated. So the whole connecting with people thing, I love that (even though some find it difficult to understand how anyone could "connect" via words on a screen!)
I think life is best when it feels like we are just squeaking by. If we felt like we had everything under control, well, it sounds like someone with too much time on their hands!
I use Google-reader to subscribe to my blogs.
I read at night, after Ander is asleep. Many a night is spent with Alan and I lying next to each other.
I blog when I can. See me up, commented on blogs, at 5:48 a.m. :/
And I read/write less. Because even with all these solutions, there is no time.
I am way too busy.
Hey, I have all these books laying around. It's hard. I enjoy reading, but I get lured by the internet and all. Well, plus I'm back to school for my MBA now so THAT reading takes up time.
(Thanks for commenting about BG on my blog!)
