Pay attention to ME!

Katie's latest thing - if she wants my attention, she will put her hand under my chin and turn my head to look at her. Just talking to her or reading to her is not enough - I have to be looking at her, too.

i read in a book (can't remember which one) that kids don't understand that we can listen without looking.

anyway, i totally remember that from my own childhood. if my mom wasn't looking at me, than she wasn't paying attention.

Hmmm. Sammy was never like that. But I'm finding there are a lot of "normal kid" things that Sammy didn't do, that Katie does. Like make me read a story over and over and over and over!
