The Shrinking Easter Bunny, Part II

Since last year's comparison was so popular...

(There is NO WAY B would have fit into the baptism outfit again.  He barely fit into it when he was baptised at 5w!!!)

Some Highlights from Grampy's visit

Happy Easter Bunny!

I try to participate in the fun without perpetuating the deception. But apparently, my kids learned about the "Easter Bunny" from Max & Ruby. Go figure...

The Easter Bunny

What does he bring to kids with weak tooth enamel, who are allergic to most candies and to eggs?

Well, here he brought new swimsuits & matching sun hats, beach towels, & sunglasses; a movie; a couple of books (school stuff - an easy reader and a book about the body. That cheap and sneaky Bunny!), sticker books, and a few plastic eggs with dairyless, peanutless candy in them (SweetTarts, Runts, & Nerds.)

(Note: He would have brought things with more of a religious theme, if he hadn't been taking care of kids who have been sick and/or in the hospital for the last 2 months, and been too frazzled/tired to shop for anything but groceries lately!)

So what did he bring to your house???

Random Things, Just 'Cuz I Feel Like Sharing

  • I currently have 389 friends on Facebook.  161 of them are from my nerd high school 26 are from when I lived in Cheyenne.  I don't know how many are from when I lived in Albuquerque, because I haven't taken the time to dig through the list of 389 people and put them in that filter.  62 are from here in town.  At least 10 are from online, that I've never actually met in person before.  3 are people I'd never heard of before FB, but we have lots of (giftie) friends in common.  There are at least 15 people in my "People you may know" section that I did know at one time, but am not sure they'd remember me, so I haven't requested them as friends yet
  • My FIL is here visiting
  • I fear daily that I'm going to be a terrible homeschooling mom, because I'm still going to be trying to get myself organized to "start" when it's time for the kids to go off to college.  Then I remind myself that they've already proven to me that unschooling a) works b) is the natural way to learn and c) requires even less organizational skills than the few I posess
  • I knocked over my glass of water at dinner and it shattered into a million bits all around my bare feet.  My FIL and hubby cleaned it up. I love them!
  • I could really go for a Jeeves & Wooster marathon right about now
  • I am up way too late.  WAAAAAYYYYY too late
  • My 2 month old genius baby signed "nurse" to my FIL and he was able to understand it, and ask me, "does this (showing me sign) mean he wants to eat?"
  • I am way behind.  This is so normal, I don't know why I call it behind anymore
  • I am, however, almost caught up on the dishes.  For once.  Except the handwash stuff. So not really
  • My bedroom is so messy I can hardly see the floor.  However, the whole basement is clean.  Except for the ball pit balls all over the floor.  (So not really.)  (P.S. Thanks Kerry and Sherri!)
  • I just thought my network connection failed for the first time on this new computer.  However, I had accidentally bumped the wireless toggle to the off position
  • I have forgotten for 14 days in a row now to call some party place in south LA and schedule an inflatable jumper/slide for my daughter's birthday party, now 14 days away
  • My big kids were in an extra-snuggly mood tonight.  It was super-nice
  • I ate a big bowl of strawberries for dessert (or bedtime snack), while I watched 2 episodes of syndicated Scrubs
  • My favorite TV shows (when I even get to watch TV) are HouseBones, & Ghost Whisperer.  And Scrubs reruns.
  • I feel overwhelmed 99.87% of the time.  This is probably not good for my long term health.  But I just don't know how to keep up.  I hear this is a common complaint among moms of small children
  • I think too much and act too little.  (And sometimes too immature, too, I'm sure.)
  • I am so in love with my family, I get tingly all over just thinking about them
  • At least 3 times a week, I wonder how I, an infertile person, randomly woke up and found 3 kids in the house with me.  And they're MINE! It blows my mind!
  • I am excited about my neice coming to spend time with me this summer
  • My grandmother authored a book about her hometown.  It was published 6 or 7 years ago.
  • My SIL is authoring a book about her relationship experiences.  She is looking for an agent. I have to admit, she is a pretty good writer for an engineer.
  • This has been the suckiest Lent ever, in terms of my conscious participation.  Unless you count corporal works of mercy FBO my family, in which case I rock.
  • The bigs must really love babies.  The other day S asked me if there was another baby in my belly.  When I told him no, he asked if we could have another one.  Tonight K asked me if there were two babies in my belly.  When I told her no, she asked if it was just one.  !?!?!?!? I would love to be blessed with more babies, but can we please let B get a little bigger first?
  • I was hesitant to install Google Chrome, but I'm glad I did.  It's super-fast!  I will still use IE for online shopping, though.
  • I want to get a Wii-Fit.  I am going to call it the game for people who use the potty, and only let the bigs use it if they have used the potty and not their diapers that day!
  • Goodnight!

Bath!!!

Once again I am blessed with a baby who knows what he wants, isn't afraid to demand it, and is pretty darn good at making it known.

Last night while the bigs were playing in the tub, I was talking to B on my bed. He kept looking toward the sound of the giggles and splashes. I asked him if he wanted to go see S & K in the bathtub. His eyes got big and he wiggled all over.

So I brought him in the bathroom, squatted down next to the tub, and sat him on my knee. After the 10th or 15th time of him throwing his whole body forward, I asked, "Do you want to get in the bathtub, too?" He squealed an immediate "(Y)aaaaah!" So I undressed him and let him play in the tub with his siblings. I don't think I've ever seen such a happy baby.

(Bonus: I couldn't exactly post the pictures as they were, so enjoy the Easter Egg Hunt!)

B is so snuggly!!!

Benny Loves

Benny loves his bouncer chair! (Previously loved by Jack T, Sammy, Katie, & Lilly!)

Benny loooooooves his big sister!

Benny loves to lay on the floor and kick. For some reason, his favorite place to do this is in the hallway.

Benny loves the rolling hedgehog shirt Mrs. Amy made for baby Katie.

(Okay, it's really mama that loves this one!)
