It was probably 70% fatigue and PMS hormones, but... I cried because I felt bad for the kid; although I don't know a lot about ADHD, I know the inconsistency in the mom's moods were really hurting him. Then because I felt bad for the mom for wanting to do right by her kids but not knowing what to do. Then because I have really been trying to address getting impatient with my family and not losing it or yelling, so she reminded me a little too much of me on my crankiest days (and I'm not even pregnant! Although with all the tears over a silly show I was starting to wonder!!!) Having a husband who retreats to his computer games every chance he gets, I also cried because I could totally relate to the mom's feeling stretched in 20 too many directions, and her despair over the eternal disappearance of the dad, who selfishly only shows up to fill his belly. Then I cried because felt guilty for even thinking that because most of the time when I ask for help, he will come help. Then I cried because I have to *ask* for help... Then I cried because at least I get it when I ask - she probably USED to ask for help when she needed it, until she realized it was pointless because she wasn't being heard or taken seriously.

(Like I said, it was mostly PMS. ;)Mathochisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18238592153841235050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-95933711137931634.post-79769497456015898532007-06-21T06:11:00.000-06:002007-06-21T06:11:00.000-06:00Was it the ADHD/inert daddy episode? (Only if the reason wasn't too personal, of course.)Giftie Etceterahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11353862141419399333noreply@blogger.com
